Wire EDMs, sinker EDMs and hole poppers moved level, dry and on schedule. We plan the prep, the trailer and the riggers so your machine is ready to cut again fast.

Drain the dielectric, lock down the head and table, protect the scales and covers, then ship it on an air ride trailer chained at the base and covered from the weather.
EDM transport is a different job than hauling a pallet of steel. A wire EDM is heavy, top heavy in spots and full of parts that hate shock: wire guides, linear scales, glass scale covers, the dielectric tank and the filter system.
Move one carelessly and you are looking at a recalibration bill before it cuts a single part. Every EDM we move gets a plan for that machine: the real weight, lift points, center of gravity, what has to be drained and which trailer gets it there level and clean.

The whole EDM cell, not just the machine.
Wire machines with tanks, guides and scales protected.
Ram EDMs with heads and tables locked down.
Small hole EDM drills, often two to a deck.
Dielectric filter systems and tanks, drained.
Power supplies and control cabinets, wrapped.
Chillers and auxiliary equipment on skids.
Grinders, mills and spotting presses.
Full mold and die shops moved together.
Have the machine drained, locked and wrapped before pickup. That keeps the loading window short and protects the parts that matter most.
Your technician or rigger usually handles the machine prep. We share the checklist ahead of time, confirm it with you the day before and plan the truck around it.

Job shops, mold makers, dealers and buyers, plus the riggers who load and set the machines.
Mold and die shops upgrading a wire machine. Dealers moving used EDMs off the floor. Buyers who just won a machine at auction and need it out by Friday. We work with your rigger on both ends so the truck shows up when the crane or forklift is ready.
Shipping the manuals and lock down hardware with the machine saves your technician hours at setup.

Most EDMs ride on air ride step decks or flatbeds, and Conestogas keep them dry. See every spec on our trailer types page.
A Conestoga gives you flatbed access with a van's cover. The rolling tarp keeps the dielectric residue, controls and glass dry and clean from pickup to delivery.
Even a drained EDM holds a film of dielectric in the tank and work area. Rain or road spray mixed with that residue makes a mess on the controls, scales and glass. Under a closed Conestoga machinery trailer, the machine stays clean and the electronics stay dry.
A Conestoga is not always the answer. If the EDM is too tall for a standard Conestoga, a step deck keeps it under legal height. If the machine is sensitive to vibration and fits through a dock door, an air ride van can make more sense. Compare options on our trailer types page, or see how we handle CNC machinery transport, injection molding machine transport and heavy haul and oversized loads. IZ coordinates every move through its carrier network, powered by Armstrong Transport.

Drain the dielectric tank and filter system, lock the head, table and wire guides per the manufacturer, protect the scales and covers, and shrink wrap or crate the control cabinet.
Yes. Dielectric fluid adds weight, can slosh and shift the center of gravity, and can leak and contaminate the trailer. Drain the tank and the filter housings before the truck arrives.
An air ride flatbed or step deck for most machines, and a Conestoga when the machine must stay dry. Taller EDMs ride on the lower deck of a step deck to stay under legal height.
Yes. We move wire EDMs, sinker or ram EDMs, small hole EDM drills and the generators, filters and chillers that go with them.
Most EDMs need leveling and a check by a technician after any move. Careful prep, air ride and base only securement give you the best chance of a quick setup.
Yes. We schedule the truck around your rigger at pickup and delivery, so the crane or forklift and the truck show up at the same time.
Yes. We handle auction and dealer pickups and work around removal deadlines and loading hours.

Often, yes. The rolling tarp keeps the controls, glass and dielectric residue dry, the sides open for forklift loading, and the flat deck makes securement to the skid simple. Very tall EDMs may need a step deck, and some shops prefer an air ride van.
